Community Overview
Gullen Range Wind Farm is committed to supporting the community. Your feedback is very important to us. Please contact us if you would like to have a chat.
Each year the wind farm contributes money to the Community Fund. In 2023, there was more than $100,000 available. Community groups can apply for a grant from the Community Fund. To be eligible, a community group must either:
- Be located within 10km of a wind turbine on the wind farm
- Offer a benefit to community members who are located within 10km of a wind turbine on the wind farm
The wind farm runs a program to assist residents who live within 5km of a Gullen Range turbine to make their house or business premises more efficient. This is called the Clean Energy Program.
In addition, Gullen Range Wind Farm sponsors local events and community groups. We are pleased to have been able to support the annual Crookwell Show, local Rural Fire Service, Crookwell/Grabben Gullen Man Walk, Crookwell Information Neighbourhood Centre, Crookwell CWA, Crookwell Meals on Wheels, the Goulburn Railway Bowling Club’s Rose Tournament, the Crookwell Junior and Senior Green Devils Rugby League Club, the Crookwell Men and Womens’ Bowling Clubs, Goulburn Relay for Life and many more! Contact us if you would like to know more.
The Community Consultative Committee (CCC) is a committee made up of representatives from Upper Lachlan Shire Council, Goulburn Mulwaree Council, local residents and wind farm representatives, chaired by an independent NSW Government appointee. The CCC meets to discuss how the wind farm can best interact with the community.
