Gullen Range Wind Farm is committed to supporting the community. Your feedback is very important to us. Please contact us if you would like to have a chat.
Each year the wind farm contributes money to the Community Fund. In 2016, this was approximately $70,000. Community groups can apply for a grant from the Community Fund. To be eligible, a community group must either:
- Be located within 10km of a wind turbine on the wind farm
- Service community members who are located within 10km of a wind turbine on the wind farm
The wind farm runs a program to assist residents who live within 5km of a wind turbine on the wind farm to make their house or business premise more efficient. This is called the Clean Energy Program.
In addition, Gullen Range Wind Farm sponsors local events. In 2016 such sponsorships included the Crookwell Show, the Crookwell Potato Festival and the Crookwell Devil’s rugby league team. Contact us if you would like to know more.
The Community Consultative Committee (CCC) is a committee made up of representatives from Upper Lachlan Shire Council, Goulburn Mulwaree Council, NSW Department of Planning and Environment, local residents and wind farm representatives. The CCC meets to discuss how the wind farm can best interact with the community.
Gullen Range wind farm regularly produces newsletters which are delivered to the letter boxes of all residents within 10km of the wind farm.
